Installing Estudiante from a Network to Additional Computers

There should exist on your network server a folder called “Estudiante” and within that folder a folder called “Workstation” and, finally, within that folder a folder called “Estudiante”.

On the computer where you want to install Estudiante:

Now leave that window (don’t close it) and return to your desktop.  This is best done by resizing the Network Neighborhood window so you can see “My Computer” on your desktop.

Return to the first window (network neighborhood) and drag the “Estudiante” folder in the “Workstation” folder to the second window (C: drive).

Now return to the C: drive window and drag the “Estudiante” shortcut to the desktop.

Double-click on the “Estudiante” shortcut and Estudiante should open.

Possible problems:

If Estudiante does not open there is probably an error in the shortcut’s link.  Do this:

NOTE:  If you are on a network the last part of the Command Line should not point to “C:\Estudiante\SecuredFE.mdw”, you should replace the “C:\Estudiante” with the network path to the CD_be_Data database, for example, “\\SomeServer\SomeFolder\Estudiante”.  So the last part of the command line of the shortcut would look like this, using the example in the previous sentence, “\\Server\Admin\Estudiante\SecuredFE.mdw” instead of “C:\Estudiante\SecuredFE.mdw”.
